Kan Taniya, the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Abkhazia accompanied by Vito Grittani, the Ambassador at Large of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Abkhazia is with a working visit to Italy.

During the visit, the Deputy Foreign Minister of Abkhazia took part in the mass dedicated to the Christians of Abkhazia. The event took place in the Basilica of Santa Maria Del Pozzo in the town of Kapurso.

Before the end of the mass, the abbot of the Basilica Filippo D'Alessandro gave Kan Taniya a statuette of Madonna Del Potzo. The Deputy Minister thanked the Pastor of the Basilica for his attention to the people of Abkhazia and presented him the icon of Simon Kananit.
