We paid attention to the statements made by M. Saakashvili, the former president of Georgia, during his judicial process in Tbilisi. Regarding to the issue of recognition of the Republic of Abkhazia by a number of Pacific states, M. Saakashvili openly confessed to committing a crime - attempts to bribe officials of foreign states. We are talking about the states of Oceania - Nauru, Tuvalu and Vanuatu, which have recognized the sovereignty of the Republic of Abkhazia

The former president of Georgia publicly confirmed available to the Republic of Abkhazia the facts of involvement of the government in of Georgia and personally M. Saakashvili in bribery of high-ranking officials of foreign countries.

It should be emphasized that the recognition of the state sovereignty of the Republic of Abkhazia by the above-mentioned Pacific states was the result of a long and painstaking work of the foreign policy department of the Republic of Abkhazia.

Promoting of broad international recognition is one of the foreign policy priorities of the Abkhaz state. However, unlike our Georgian opponents, Abkhaz diplomats use in their working practice legal and civilized forms of interaction with representatives of foreign states. We intend to continue to work on expanding of the international recognition of the Republic of Abkhazia exclusively in accordance with generally accepted international norms.
