On November 22, 2024, a meeting was held between Acting Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Abkhazia Odissei Bigvava and Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Russian Federation to the Republic of Abkhazia Mikhail Shurgalin. The meeting was also attended by Minister-Counselor of the Russian Embassy Maxim Litvinov.

The parties discussed a number of topical issues of the bilateral and international agenda during the meeting.

The reciprocal intention to strengthen interstate Abkhazian-Russian cooperation, as well as to develop cooperation in all areas of mutual interest was confirmed.
