On 22 February in Gal was held 43rd meeting within the Incident Prevention and Response Mechanism (IPRM).
Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Abkhazia to the Russian Federation Igor Akhba visited the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
The Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Abkhazia Daur Kove sent a condolence note to the Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov in connection with the death of Russia's Permanent Representative to the UN, Russian representative to the UN Security Council, Vitaly Churkin.

The Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Abkhazia Kan Tania met with the EU Special Representative for the South Caucasus (EUSR) Herbert Salber. The meeting was also attended by the Ambassador-at-Large of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Abkhazia Tengiz Tarba and representatives of the EUSR office Bjorn Kuene, Tom Trier and Emmanuel Anquetil.
During a working visit to Moscow, the Foreign Minister Daur Kove visited the Embassy of the Republic of Abkhazia to the Russian Federation.
On February 9, the LDPR leader Vladimir Zhirinovsky allowed himself a number of incorrect statements addressed to the Republic of Abkhazia on the Russian TV channel "Russia 1".
