A meeting chaired by Foreign Minister Oleg Bartsits was held at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Abkhazia to summarize the Ministry's activities for 2025. Deputy Ministers Odissei Bigvava and Iraklii Tuzhba, and heads of departments at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, took part in the meeting.
Oleg Bartsits noted that "2025 was a busy and active year in terms of diplomatic work. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs consistently implemented its foreign policy priorities and effectively defended the country's interests."
During the meeting, the key results of the Ministry's work for the reporting period were reviewed, the achieved indicators were analyzed, and key areas of foreign policy activity were discussed. Special attention was paid to developing international cooperation, strengthening bilateral ties, and promoting the national interests of the Republic of Abkhazia in the international arena.
The importance of coordinated work and collaboration between all departments of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and its missions abroad, as well as strengthening labor and financial discipline to further enhance the effectiveness of diplomatic activities, was noted.
Following the meeting, priority tasks were identified and work plans for each department for 2026 were outlined.
