The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Abkhazia hosted another video conference with the Republic of Nicaragua as part of the work of the joint Abkhazian-Nicaraguan interdepartmental working group on cooperation in the field of education, culture, sports and youth policy. 

On March 9, 2022, the Republic of Abkhazia and the Donetsk People's Republic established diplomatic relations by means of exchange of notes.

The Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Abkhazia Inal Ardzinba congratulated the Plenipotentiary Representative of the Republic of Abkhazia in the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic Alexander Vataman on the occasion of the 14th anniversary of the signing of the Decree of the President of the Republic of Abkhazia "On the establishment of the Official Representative Office of the Republic of Abkhazia in the capital of the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic, Tiraspol".

As a result of the 2014 coup d'état, radicals of the Western project "anti-Russia" came to power in Ukraine. A significant part of the Russian-speaking residents of the south-east of Ukraine did not fit into their ideology. For eight years, the civilian population of the southeast has become the object of armed aggression by the Ukrainian security forces and nationalist groups. They launched rocket and bomb strikes aimed at civilian targets.

On February 28, 2022 a meeting was held between Inar Ladaria, the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Abkhazia to the Republic of Nicaragua and Arlet Marenko, the Deputy Foreign Minister of the Republic of Nicaragua.

Dear compatriots, We are closely monitoring the situation around the Donetsk and Lugansk People's Republics. You know that Abkhazia has special relations with the peoples of these republics, and every citizen of Abkhazia sincerely sympathizes with their struggle for justice, for the right to a decent life. The people of Abkhazia have survived all this. The origins of our sympathy for the peoples of these republics is in the similarity of our destinies, when more than 4 million Russian-speaking citizens of Ukraine were subjected to actual genocide.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Abkhazia sent a congratulatory note to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation on the celebration of Defender of the Fatherland Day.

We welcome and consider lawful the decision of the President of the Russian Federation to recognize the state sovereignty and independence of the Donetsk People's Republic and the Lugansk People's Republic.

Zaur Gvajava, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Abkhazia to the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, took part in the commemoration of the leader of the national liberation revolution Augusto Sandino Calderon. The ceremony took place at Augusto Sandino Square in the city of Caracas.
