The 48-th round of the International Geneva Discussions on Security and Stability in the Caucasus took place in Geneva on July 2–3, 2019. The round was attended by the representatives of the Republic of Abkhazia, the Republic of South Ossetia, Georgia, the Russian Federation and the United States co-chaired by the UN, OSCE and the EU.

The third meeting of the interdepartmental Russian-Abkhaz working commission on the resumption of sea passenger traffic between the Russian Federation and the Republic of Abkhazia was held in Yalta on June 4,2019.

The official delegation from the Republic of Abkhazia led by Daur Kove, the Foreign Minister together with Anatoly Bibilov, South Ossetian President accompanied by Masis Mayilyan, the Foreign Minister of the Artsakh Republic laid a wreath at the memorial complex in Stepanakert and flowers at the graves of Artsakh defenders.

The official delegation from the Republic of Abkhazia led by Daur Kove, the Foreign Minister arrived in the Artsakh Republic. The delegation includes Galust Trapizonyan, the Hero of Abkhazia, the chairman of the Armenian community of the Republic and Valery Mayromyan, the public figure.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Abkhazia sent a congratulatory note to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Syrian Arab Republic on the occasion of the anniversary of the establishment of the diplomatic relations between the Republic of Abkhazia and the Syrian Arab Republic.
