On July 24, 2026, a meeting was held at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Abkhazia between Oleg Bartsits, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Abkhazia, and Vyacheslav Gladkov, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Russian Federation to the Republic of Abkhazia.

The meeting was also attended by Dzhemal Bganba, Head of the Department of Strategic Cooperation of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Abkhazia, and Maxim Litvinov, Minister-Counselor of the Embassy of the Russian Federation in the Republic of Abkhazia.

During the meeting, the parties continued to discuss current issues in Abkhazian-Russian relations and further steps to enhance bilateral cooperation in various areas.

The sides also exchanged views on current issues of the international and regional agendas.
