Daur Kove, the Abkhaz Foreign Minister met with Toivo Klaar, the EU Special Representative for the South Caucasus on October 13,2020. The meeting was also attended by Björn Kuehne, the Political Adviser of the European Union Special Representative for the South Caucasus, Emmanuel Anketil, the Political Adviser in the office of the European Union Special Representative for the South Caucasus as well as Gottfried Hanne, the OSCE Political Adviser.

The Foreign Minister of Abkhazia spoke on the situation with coronavirus infection in the Republic of Abkhazia. He stressed that today the situation is quite difficult and the increase in the number of cases is recorded daily. He also noted that the state is doing everything possible to prevent an even greater spread of infection in the country in these difficult conditions.

Toivo Klaar, the EU Special Representative for the South Caucasus informed the Minister that at the request of the Foreign Ministry to provide vaccines against seasonal flu, the EU is ready to provide a certain amount of vaccine at the beginning of November this year.

The agenda of the upcoming round of Geneva Discussions was also discussed as well as a number of issues of mutual interest during the meeting.
