A presentation was held in Yekaterinburg outlining the program for an international expedition to the Republic of Abkhazia scheduled for September 17–22 for foreign participants of the International Youth Festival.
During the event, Oleg Bartsits, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Abkhazia, delivered a welcoming address to representatives from foreign countries, expressing his appreciation for their decision to visit the Republic of Abkhazia.
"Abkhazia is a small country in terms of both territory and population, yet it is a strong nation. It is a country developing dynamically and forging robust, extensive ties with various nations.
Opening up to the world is crucial for us. Abkhazia wants to be known globally and seeks to increase the number of countries with which it maintains friendly, economic, humanitarian, and political relations. All the prerequisites for this are in place," noted Oleg Bartsits.
Welcoming remarks were also delivered by Tarasch Khagba, the Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Abkhazia and Chairman of the State Committee for Youth Affairs and Sports, Maya Tsybulevskaya, Deputy Prime Minister and Daur Kove, the Minister of Culture.
This marks the first time Abkhazia will host delegations of foreign participants from the International Youth Festival.
The upcoming expedition will involve representatives from the Russian Federation, Venezuela, Argentina, Brazil, Jordan, Colombia, Cuba, Kyrgyzstan, Lebanon, Moldova, Paraguay, Peru, Serbia, Tajikistan, and Chile.
During their visit, the foreign participants will explore Abkhazia’s historical and cultural heritage, traditions, natural assets, and contemporary life in the Republic.
