Simultaneous arrangement of flags of several foreign states
Simultaneous arrangement of flags of several foreign states
In international protocol practice, a certain flag etiquette has developed.
The national flag is hoisted on a special flagpole in front of the building or on the building. Flagpoles and flags must be the same size. One cannot place flags at different levels, as well as one above the other.
If the flags are raised in honor of the head of a foreign state, then the place of honor on the right is given to the flag of the guest.
The flag is hung on the wall in expanded form with a cloth to the right of the back of the person sitting at the table, and if it is installed on a special flagpole, then at the right hand.
The flag must not touch the ground, floor or water. The flown flag must always be in good condition.
The most common practice is to place flags in the alphabetic order according to the names of the states from right to left, if to stand with your back to the flags (the language in this case is either Latin, or the language of the country where the flags are hung, or the official language of a particular event / organization).
