On September 3, in Tskhinval, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Abkhazia to the Republic of South Ossetia Alan Elbakiyev took part in memorial events dedicated to the 20th anniversary of the Beslan tragedy.

Those present honored the memory of the innocent victims with a minute of silence and laid flowers at the Monument to the Defenders of the Fatherland.
In memory of the victims, 334 white balloons were released into the sky.
