The Embassy of South Ossetia in Russia hosted a ceremony to award Alkhas Kvitsiniia, the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Abkhazia to Russia with the Order of Friendship. The award was presented by Akhsar Dzhioev, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of South Ossetia. The award ceremony was attended by Sergey Shamba, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Abkhazia.

In the decree signed by Alan Gagloev, the President of the Republic of South Ossetia is stated:

"For services in strengthening of relations between the peoples of the Republic of South Ossetia and the Republic of Abkhazia and fruitful diplomatic activity, award the Order of Friendship to Kvitsiniia Alkhas Alekseevich - Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Abkhazia to the Russian Federation."

Alkhas Kvitsiniia expressed gratitude for the award and noted the importance of working together for the benefit of our peoples, which contributes to stability and development in the region.

The ceremony ended with an exchange of views on the prospects for further cooperation and strengthening of ties between the Abkhaz and South Ossetian peoples.
