The Parliament of the Republic of Abkhazia ratified two agreements with the Syrian Arab Republic on Thursday, December 6,2018: “Treaty of Friendship and Cooperation between the Republic of Abkhazia and the Syrian Arab Republic” and “Agreement on cooperation between the Government of the Republic of Abkhazia and the Government of the Syrian Arab Republic in the field of trade promotion and economic cooperation.”

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Abkhazia sent a note of condolences to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Armenia on the occasion of the 30-th anniversary of the earthquake in Armenia.

The Foreign Ministry of Abkhazia drew attention to reports in the media on an agreement reached between Georgia and the United States on the construction of a military airfield in Vaziani under the auspices of NATO. The agreement was reached during the talks between Levan Izoria, Georgian Defense Minister and Stephen Lyons, General, the head of the transport command of the US armed forces.

Abdulina, the Chairman of the Committee on Youth Policy and Interaction with NGOs of St. Petersburg from November 29 to December 2018. More than 1000 delegates from Russia and on 60 representatives of foreign countries took part in the Forum.

The first Embassy of the Republic of Abkhazia was created ten years ago. The Embassy of the Republic of Abkhazia in the Russian Federation was established by the Decree of Sergey Bagapsh the President of the country on November 13, 2008.

The article “Abkhazia is a country of sports” was published in the state sports newspaper of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela EL LIDER (El Leader) on November 12, 2018.

A draft resolution has been prepared in the European Parliament, containing, inter alia, a call on the Georgian authorities to “extend the benefits” of an association agreement with the EU to the residents of Abkhazia and South Ossetia.
