On December 18, 2024, at the invitation of the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Russian Federation to the Republic of Nicaragua Mikhail Ledenev, the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Abkhazia to Nicaragua Inar Ladariia attended a reception dedicated to the 80th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Russia and Nicaragua.

As part of the gala event, which took place at the Ruben Dario National Opera House, the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Russia Mikhail Ledenev told about the history of relations between the two countries and expressed confidence in the further strengthening of the bilateral strategic partnership between Russia and Nicaragua.

The Nicaraguan side was represented by the head of the Nicaraguan Foreign Ministry, Waldrak Jentzke, who conveyed congratulations on behalf of the President of Nicaragua, Daniel Ortega.

The anniversary event was attended by the adviser to the President of Nicaragua, Laureano Ortega, representatives of various ministries and departments of Nicaragua, diplomats accredited in Nicaragua and local media.
