At the invitation of the Embassy of the Russian Federation in the Republic of Nicaragua, Inar Ladaria, the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Abkhazia to the Republic of Nicaragua took part in a number of ceremonial events dedicated to the 80th anniversary of the victory of the Soviet people in the Great Patriotic War.
On May 5, Inar Ladaria, Ambassador and Alias Aiba, Minister-Counselor visited the National University of Nicaragua where a scientific conference was held dedicated to the victory over fascism and its significance for humanity. A photo exhibition and a screening of a documentary film about the Great Patriotic War were organized.
On May 7, representatives of the Embassy of Abkhazia attended a concert of folk songs and songs of the war years, which was presented by Nicaraguan and Venezuelan artists and musicians at the Ruben Dario National Theater.
On May 8, Inar Ladaria, Ambassador and Alyas Aiba, Minister-Counselor of the Embassy attended a ceremonial event held at the Revolution Square. It brought together representatives of the diaspora from post-Soviet countries, representatives of the Nicaraguan government, diplomats accredited in the Republic of Nicaragua, and many citizens. Inar Ladaria, together with Mikhail Ledenev, the Russian Ambassador to Nicaragua Gustavo Porras, the Speaker of the Parliament and Waldrac Jentzke, the Minister of Foreign Affairs led the Immortal Regiment march.
