Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Abkhazia to the Syrian Arab Republic Muhammad Ali took part in the concert of the orchestra of the orphan school of the Saidnaya Monastery, dedicated to the 80th anniversary of the establishment of Russian-Syrian diplomatic relations.

The event was attended by Special Representative of the President of the Russian Federation for the development of relations with the Syrian Arab Republic, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Russian Federation to the Syrian Arab Republic Alexander Efimov, Head of the Russian Cultural Center, Advisor Nikolai Sukhov, Advisor to the Embassy of the Republic of Abkhazia in Syria, Consul Gais Al Kharki, representatives of the Government of Syria, representatives of diplomatic missions accredited in the Syrian Arab Republic.

The concert, held with the blessing of His Beatitude Patriarch John X of Antioch and All the East, took place on the stage of the Russian Cultural Center in Damascus. It featured orchestras performing music by Arab and foreign composers, the guitar ensemble “Desperado”, the piano ensemble “Libertango” and other performers.

The event was organized by the Russian International Public Organization, the Imperial Orthodox Palestine Society in the Syrian Arab Republic and the Russian Cultural Center in Damascus.
