On August 14, 2024, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Abkhazia to the Syrian Arab Republic Muhammad Ali attended a reception on the occasion of the 78th anniversary of the Independence Day of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan. The event, which took place in Damascus, was organized by the Embassy of Pakistan in Syria.

The ceremony was attended by the Head of the Presidential Administration of Syria Mansour Azzam, Minister of Agriculture and Agrarian Reform Mohammed Hassan Qatana, Minister of Education Mohammad Amer Mardini, Governor of Damascus Mohammad Tariq Kreishati, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates Ayman Raad, ambassadors and heads of diplomatic missions accredited in the Syrian Arab Republic.
