Counselor of the Embassy of the Republic of Abkhazia in the Syrian Arab Republic Gais Al Harki met with Syrian students who received a scholarship to take the annual Russian language training course at the Abkhazian State University in 2025-2026 for a period of 9 months.

Based on the results of this course, students will be able to continue their education at Abkhazian universities in the next academic year. Gais Al Harki wished the students success in their studies and stressed the need to make a serious contribution to the development of Syria and Abkhazia.

Gais Al Harki also noted the importance of student exchanges between Abkhazia and Syria in order to acquire new scientific skills related to the students' areas of specialization, deepen cultural understanding and strengthen ties between peoples.

For their part, the Syrian students highly appreciated the efforts of the Consular Department of the Embassy of the Republic of Abkhazia in Damascus in processing the necessary documents and providing measures to ensure the trip.
