On September 20, 2024, Zaur Gvadzhava, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Abkhazia to the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela at the invitation of Alfredo José Ruiz Angulo,the Ombudsman of Venezuela took part in a ceremony on the occasion of the International Day of Peace.

The event took place at the headquarters of the Ombudsman's Office in Caracas.

The ceremony was attended by ambassadors and heads of diplomatic missions accredited in Venezuela, representatives of indigenous peoples of Venezuela, the media and other guests.

During the event, Zaur Gvadzhava had a conversation with Sergei Melik-Bagdasarov, the Ambassador of the Russian Federation to Venezuela and Andrei Molchan, the Ambassador of the Republic of Belarus to Venezuela. The parties discussed relations between the countries and the international situation in the world.
