Oleg Bartsits, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Abkhazia congratulated Vitaly Ignatiev, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic on Victory Day in the Great Patriotic War.

In particular, it is noted:

"May 9 is a date forever inscribed in the annals of human history. Victory over German fascism was achieved at the cost of colossal sacrifices and thanks to the courage of all Soviet peoples. Our ancestors, who defended the Fatherland in those battles, were united by their resilience, courage, and shared desire to protect their home from invaders.

We bow our heads to war veterans, honor this memory, and cherish the names of those who did not return from the battlefield. In the Republic of Abkhazia we are convinced that from this memory, as from the memory of the tragedies of modern history is born the will for peace—and the foundation upon which genuine mutual understanding is built between our peoples, who share a common past."

Oleg Bartsits wished Vitaly Ignatiev and the staff of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic fortitude, prosperity, and a peaceful sky above their heads.
