Valery Bganba, the Prime Minister of the Republic of Abkhazia and Vasily Golubev, the Governor of the Rostov Region signed the plan for cooperation between the Cabinet of Ministers (Government) of the Republic of Abkhazia and the Government of the Rostov Region for 2018-2021.

On this day, 27 years ago, a helicopter was shot down by Georgian fascists over the village of Lata during a humanitarian flight from the besieged city of Tkuarchal. In this helicopter, innocent civilians, children, pregnant women, elderly people were looking for salvation from the horrors of war. More than eighty people, including 35 children and 8 pregnant women were victims of this monstrous crime.

On December 10-11, 2019, the 50th round of the Geneva International Discussions on Security and Stability in the Transcaucasus took place, in which representatives of the Republic of Abkhazia, the Republic of South Ossetia, Georgia, the Russian Federation and the United States co-chaired by the UN, OSCE and the EU.

The Abkhaz-Austrian Society established the “Commission for the Support of International Contacts of the Republic of Abkhazia” on December 3, 2019. The commission is headed by the General Committee of the Abkhaz-Austrian Society.  The main objective of the Abkhaz-Austrian Society is to promote the dialogue between Abkhazia and Austria in the field of cultural and humanitarian cooperation as well as the development of international contacts of Abkhazia.

The Supreme Council of the Republic of Abkhazia adopted the Constitution of the Republic of Abkhazia 25 years ago on November 26, 1994. The fundamental law of the country is of crucial importance for the people of Abkhazia marked a new stage in the history of Abkhazian statehood.
