The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Abkhazia sent a congratulatory note to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation on the occasion of the celebration of Constitution Day of Russia.
The congratulation, in particular, reads:
“December 12, 1993 is a special day in the history of the Russian state, symbolizing the desire of the whole great multinational people of Russia to develop a state based on the rule of law, respect for human rights and democracy.
The Constitution, which became the guarantor of civil liberties, independence and integrity of democratic Russia, absorbed the best experience of the rich past and opened up new opportunities for the development of a great state in the present and future, and consolidated the historical, spiritual and cultural values of the Russian state.
Today, thanks to progressive development over the past three decades, the Russian Federation is one of the key players in the international arena, successfully implementing its enormous potential in the economic, social and cultural spheres, despite the sanctions and political pressure of the collective West, violating all the foundations of international law.
We highly appreciate the level of cooperation and mutual respect that our countries have achieved and express confidence in the further strengthening of the Abkhazian-Russian strategic alliance.”
