The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Abkhazia sent a note of condolences to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of South Ossetia on the occasion of the 30th anniversary of the Zarsky tragedy.

It is noted:

“On May 20, 1992, the Georgian fascists, having shot a column of civilians, committed an inhuman act of aggression against the civilian population. The tragedy of Zarsky will always resonate with pain in our hearts.

The people of the Republic of Abkhazia, who went through the Patriotic War of the people of Abkhazia in 1992-1993, mourn and honor the bright memory together with the fraternal South Ossetian people for the innocently killed victims of a heinous crime.”
