The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Abkhazia sent a congratulatory note to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Nicaragua on the occasion of the Independence Day of the Republic of Nicaragua.

It is noted, in particular:

"This day has become a landmark event in the history of Nicaragua, a major milestone in the construction of a sovereign state, symbolizing the aspiration of the people of Nicaragua to build an independent statehood. The people of Abkhazia, well acquainted with all the trials on the path to achieving of independence, sincerely share with you the joy of this significant day.

We appreciated the relations of friendship and cooperation that have developed between our states. The Republic of Abkhazia is interested in further deepening the political dialogue and developing of multifaceted cooperation with the Republic of Nicaragua. We are convinced that through joint efforts we will consistently continue to strengthen of our strategic partnership and alliance."
