The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Abkhazia sent a congratulatory note to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation on the occasion of the celebration of the 79-th anniversary of Victory in the Great Patriotic War.

It is noted, in particular:

"Victory Day is a truly sacred holiday.

Today we honor our dear veterans and remember those who gave their lives for the Victory. The victory was achieved by our family and friends at an incredibly high price.

The unparalleled courage, boundless love for the Motherland of front-line soldiers, home front workers, everyone who brought this great day closer will always be a guideline for us.

We are sincerely proud of their feat and will preserve, passing on from generation to generation, the glorious memory of it.

These days, the Russian Federation is fighting neo-Nazism, including as part of a special military operation. The Republic of Abkhazia supports its strategic ally and partner in the fight for peace and justice.

On this holiday, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Abkhazia renews its assurances of its very high respect for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation and wishes continued success and victories in all endeavors."
