The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Abkhazia sent a congratulatory note to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of South Ossetia on the occasion of the Day of International Recognition of Independence of the Republic of South Ossetia.

The congratulation says, in particular:

"This move on the part of the Russian Federation became fateful for our peoples. It restored historical justice and guaranteed security for our peoples.

We are confident that Abkhazian-South Ossetian relations, the solid foundation of which is the bonds of brotherhood and friendship, will fruitfully develop for the benefit of our peoples."
