The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Abkhazia received with deep regret the news of the death of the first Chairman of the Federation of Abkhazian Cultural Centers in Turkey, Feridun (Aksoy) Akusba.

Feridun Akusba was a prominent representative of the Abkhazian Diaspora, stood at the origins of the creation of the main public organization uniting the Abkhazian Diaspora in the Republic of Turkey “AbkhazFED”, participated in all events related to Abkhazia, and enjoyed great respect both in Turkey and in Abkhazia.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Abkhazia expresses deep condolences to the family and friends of Feridun Akusba. In Abkhazia he will be remembered as a great patriot of his Motherland.
