The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Abkhazia has sent a note to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Nicaragua on the occasion of the 17-th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the Republic of Abkhazia and the Republic of Nicaragua.
It is noted, in particular:
"September 10, 2009, marked a significant date in the history of Abkhaz-Nicaraguan relations, initiating a sustained political dialogue and creating of conditions for the development of multifaceted cooperation between our states.Over the intervening years, a solid legal framework has been established, and regular contacts have been fostered between the foreign policy agencies and government institutions of both countries.
The Republic of Abkhazia highly values Nicaragua's support in international forums, as well as the trusting nature of our bilateral relations.
We are convinced that the cooperation of potential we have built will continue to foster the further strengthening of ties between our countries."
