Oleg Bartsits, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Abkhazia congratulated Vitaly Ignatiev, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic on Republic Day. 

It is noted:

"On September 2, 1990, the Transnistrian people, relying on their will for self-determination made a historic choice in favor of their own statehood. This step was dictated by the desire to preserve peace, cultural identity, and the right to independently determine their own destiny. In Abkhazia, which has undergone its own struggle for independence, the motives that guided the Transnistrians more than three decades ago are understandable.

Over the past years, despite a difficult foreign policy environment, economic pressure, and isolation, Transnistria has managed to build capable state institutions and maintain an unwavering commitment to the path chosen by its people.

I am confident that, no matter what challenges Transnistria faces on its path to comprehensive international recognition, our peoples will continue to act in a spirit of genuine brotherhood, solidarity, and mutual support."

Oleg Bartsits wished Vitaly Ignatiev and the staff of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic good health, peace, and success in their responsible public service.
