Oleg Bartsits, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Abkhazia, congratulated media workers on their professional holiday, which is celebrated annually on February 27.

"February 27 is the professional holiday of Abkhaz media workers. On this day in 1919, the first Abkhaz newspaper, Apsny, was published, edited by Dmitry Iosifovich Gulia, the founder of Abkhaz literature.

The media are an important institution in modern society, shaping the informational chronicle of modern Abkhazia and making a significant contribution to its development.

Thanks to the work of media representatives, society receives timely and objective information about the most important events in the life of our country."

The Minister wished the media representatives good health, creative inspiration, and continued success in their responsible and meaningful work for the benefit of the Republic of Abkhazia.
