The Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Abkhazia, Oleg Bartsits, has sent a letter of condolence to the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Yván Gil Pinto, regarding the earthquake in Venezuela.

The letter states, in particular:

"Please accept my deepest condolences regarding the numerous casualties and extensive destruction caused by the tragic consequences of the earthquake in Venezuela.

The Republic of Abkhazia sincerely shares the grief of the victims' families and the entire fraternal people of Venezuela.

Please convey our sympathy and support to those who lost their loved ones in this terrible tragedy, as well as our wishes for a soonest recovery to all those injured."
