A delegation from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Abkhazia, led by Oleg Bartsits, Foreign Minister departed for a working visit to the Republic of South Ossetia.

The delegation includes Odyssey Bigvava, Deputy Foreign Minister, Dmitry Amichba, Assistant of the Minister, Jemal Bganba, Head of the Department of Strategic Cooperation, Vladimir Khashig, Head of the Financial and Planning Department and Said Tarba, Referent to the State Protocol Department.


During the visit, meetings will be held with Alan Gagloev, President of the Republic of South Ossetia, Akhsar Dzhioev Acting Foreign Minister, as well as with the leadership of the Parliament and other government bodies of South Ossetia.

During the talks with Akhsar Dzhioev, Acting Foreign Minister a Consultation Plan between the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Abkhazia and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of South Ossetia for 2026–2027 will be signed.

During the working visit Oleg Bartsits, Foreign Minister will hold a meeting at the Embassy of the Republic of Abkhazia in the Republic of South Ossetia, during which Alan Elbakiyev, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary will report on the Embassy's current work.

The visit will last until February 19.
