On July 24, Acting Minister, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Abkhazia Odissei Bigvava held meetings with the widow of the former Plenipotentiary Representative of the Republic of Abkhazia in the Republic of Bashkortostan Vadim Kove Valentina Tsargush and the widow of the former Plenipotentiary Representative of the Republic of Abkhazia in the Republic of Adygea Rushni Butba Mziana Agukhava.

The meetings took place as part of the celebration of the Day of the National Flag of the Republic of Abkhazia on July 23.

Odissei Bigvava emphasized that the State flag and coat of arms by Valery Valikovich Gamgia, are symbols of Abkhazian statehood, unity and the struggle of the people of the Republic of Abkhazia for independence and justice.

“Vadim Mutaevich and Rushni Taevich represented the interests of our country abroad under this flag,” he said. Noting with regret that Valery Gamgia, Vadim Kove and Rushni Butba are no longer alive, he stated that the Ministry of Foreign Affairs remembers and honors them.

Odissei Bigvava awarded the families of Valery Gamgia, Vadim Kove and Rushni Butba with the departmental anniversary medal “30th Anniversary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Abkhazia.”

The anniversary medal “30th Anniversary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Abkhazia” will be given to the family of Valery Gamgia.
