Igor Muratovich Akhba is appointed as Special Representative of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Abkhazia for Eurasian integration by the Decree of Inal Ardzinba, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Abkhazia. 

Earlier, by the Decree of Aslan Bzhania, the President of the Republic of Abkhazia of December 16, 2021, Igor MuratovichAkhba was withdrawn from the post of Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Abkhazia to the Russian Federation because of his transfer to another job.  

Igor Muratovich Akhba

Born on February 5, 1949 in Sukhumi, Abkhaz ASSR.

1966 - graduated from Sukhumi Secondary School № 10.

1966-1971- studied at the Law Faculty of the Moscow State University. - Studied at the Law Faculty of the LomonosovMoscow State University.

1971-1976 - Post Graduate of the Institute of the State and Law of the Academy of Sciences of the USSR.

1976-1989. - from 1976 to 1989, he was Researcher at the Coordination Center of the Ministry of Culture of the USSR.

1990-1992 - Assistant for the Staff of the USSR Supreme Soviet.

1992-2008 - Plenipotentiary Representative of the Republic of Abkhazia in the Russian Federation.

2004 г. 2004 (July - December) - Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Abkhazia.

2008 - Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Abkhazia in the Russian Federation. He has the rank of Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary, and was awarded the Order "Honor and Glory" of the 3rd degree (Abkhazia).

2014 г. - Badge of Honor of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Russia "For Contribution to International Cooperation". 

Married, with a daughter.
