The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Abkhazia expresses deep sorrow over the sudden death of diplomat, veteran of the Patriotic War of the People of Abkhazia 1992-1993, selfless patriot of the Republic of Abkhazia, Kavkaz Kamil Atryshba.

During the most difficult period for the country, having learned about the outbreak of the war, Kavkaz Atryshba arrived in Abkhazia to defend his homeland. He headed a special forces group reporting directly to the Commander-in-Chief Vladislav Ardzinba.

Until 1995, Kavkaz Atryshba remained in the guard of Vladislav Ardzinba.

Since April 2021, he began working in the Plenipotentiary Representative Office of the Republic of Abkhazia in the Republic of Turkey and for three years responsibly defended the interests of his homeland.

Kavkaz Atryshba will forever be remembered as an unbending warrior with heroic fortitude and fearlessness. His untimely death became a heavy loss and a huge blow to our entire republic.

The bright memory of Kavkaz Kamil Atryshba will forever remain in our hearts. He will be remembered as a sincere patriot and a true hero of the Abkhazian people!
