Badra Gunba, the President of the Republic of Abkhazia held a meeting on the Republic’s foreign policy.

Participants in the meeting included Beslan Bigvava, Vice President; Beslan Eshba, Head of the Presidential Administration; Dmitry Shamba, First Deputy Head of the Presidential Administration; Jansukh Nanba, Deputy Prime Minister and Oleg Bartsits, Minister of Foreign Affairs.

During the meeting, Oleg Bartsits presented a comprehensive report on the activities of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Abkhazia and the implementation of the President's previous directives regarding foreign policy.

In his report, Oleg Bartsits briefed the President on the implementation of key foreign policy areas, including the development of bilateral allied relations, the strengthening of international ties and the promotion of the Republic of Abkhazia’s foreign policy priorities.

Particular attention was paid to efforts to expand international recognition of the Republic of Abkhazia and to strengthen its standing in international forums.

Oleg Bartsits highlighted the importance of the Republic of Abkhazia’s participation in the International Discussions on Security and Stability in Transcaucasia (Geneva Discussions)—a key international platform for conveying the Republic’s position and upholding its interests.

In conclusion, Oleg Bartsits reported on ongoing work to coordinate the activities of foreign non-governmental organizations and outlined future priorities for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Abkhazia.
