On June 5, 2025, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Abkhazia Oleg Bartsits arrived in the Russian Federation on a visit. Upon arrival at the airport, the Minister was met by representatives of the Russian Foreign Ministry.

On June 6, a meeting will be held between the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Abkhazia Oleg Bartsits and his Russian counterpart, Minister of Foreign Affairs Sergey Lavrov, in Moscow.

During the upcoming talks, the parties will discuss current issues on the agenda of interstate Abkhazian-Russian cooperation.
