On July 7, 2019, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Abkhazia hosted a meeting of the Foreign Minister Oleg Bartsits met with Elchin Adzinba, a representative of the Abkhazian Diaspora in Turkey and associate professor at Adnan Menderes University (Turkey).

Also attending the meeting were Deputy Foreign Minister Irakli Tuzhba and Deputy Chairman of the State Committee for Repatriation of the Republic of Abkhazia Astamur Bagatelia.

During the meeting, Elchin Adzinba provided detailed information on her activities to promote the humanitarian agenda on international platforms, including the protection of the rights and cultural identity of the Abkhazian ethnic group.

For his part, Foreign Minister Oleg Bartsits emphasized the continued need for consistent efforts to convey objective information about the Republic of Abkhazia to the international community.

He also emphasized the importance of the participation of compatriots from the Diaspora in international human rights forums and expressed his sincere gratitude to Elchin Adzinba for her noble work, dedication to her historical homeland, and systematic efforts to defend the rights of her people in the international arena.
