The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Abkhazia and the Abkhazian State University are accepting applications from citizens of the Republic of Abkhazia for competitive admission to the Moscow State Institute of International Relations (University) of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation, under a special request from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Abkhazia:
● Bachelor's degree programs (for graduates of secondary schools in the Republic of Abkhazia);
● Master's degree programs;
● Doctoral degree programs.
Application and document submission deadlines: March 23, 24, 25, 26, and 27, 2026, from 10:00 AM to 3:00 PM.
The following documents must be attached to the application for admission to the undergraduate programs:
1. Passport of a citizen of the Republic of Abkhazia (regular and foreign);
2. Certificate of attendance in the 11th grade of a secondary comprehensive school in the Republic of Abkhazia;
3. Report card of the student in the 11th grade for the first semester;
4. 2 photographs 3x4;
5. Medical certificate (form 086/u);
6. Registration certificate or military registration certificate (for males).
Entrance examinations will be conducted for MGIMO programs under the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation.
The following documents must be attached to the application for admission to the master's and doctoral programs:
1. Passport of a citizen of the Republic of Abkhazia (regular and foreign);
2. Documents (diploma and its supplement) of the established higher education standard or an extract from the graduate's final transcript;
3. 2 photographs 3.5 x 4.5 cm;
4. Military ID/registration certificate (for those liable for military service);
5. Original and copy of a document confirming individual achievements (if any).

The application form for admission to master's and doctoral programs must be printed, completed, signed, and returned to the specified email address.
