Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Abkhazia, Oleg Bartsits, expressed deep condolences on the tragic passing of statesman, political figure, and renowned scholar Stanislav Lakoba.

Stanislav Zosimovich was an outstanding figure who made an invaluable contribution to the formation and development of our state. As a prominent scholar, he made a significant contribution to the scientific life of Abkhazia. The breadth of his views and interests, his integrity, and his proactive approach to life commanded sincere respect. The passing of Stanislav Zosimovich is an irreparable loss for our country.

In this hour of grief, I express my words of support and sympathy to the family and friends of Stanislav Zosimovich Lakoba.
