The first day of the international documentary film festival "RT. Doc: Time of Our Heroes" concluded in Sukhum.

The event, held at Abkhaz State University, was attended by Badra Gunba, President of the Republic of Abkhazia, Rodion Miroshnik, Ambassador-at-Large of the Russian Foreign Ministry for the Crimes of the Kyiv Regime public and political figures, veterans and participants of the Special Military Operations Forces from Abkhazia, military documentary filmmakers, journalists, and spectators.

Speaking at the opening ceremony were: Oleg Bartsits, Minister of Foreign Affairs, Aleko Gvaramia, Rector of Abkhaz State University and Academician of the Russian Academy of Natural Sciences General Producer of the "RT. Doc: Time of Our Heroes" festival Ekaterina Yakovleva, Akhra Avidzba, Commander of the "Wild Division of Donbass" and others.

Day one also featured a screening of Ruslan Gusarov's film "We Will Live." The festival will be held on November 17-18, 2025, at the Abkhaz State University with the support of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Abkhazia, the Abkhaz State University, the Interregional Cultural and Leisure Center of the Republic of Abkhazia, and the National Fund for the Support of Social Programs of the Russian Federation.
