On May 5, 2026, a public and expert discussion meeting, organized by the Eurasian Society (Eurasien Gesellschaft e.V.) was held in Berlin. The discussion focused on energy security and the current situation in the European energy sector.

The event's theme was "Energy Crisis: Is It Possible to Manage Without Russian Oil and Gas?"

At the invitation of the organizers, Khibla Amichba, Plenipotentiary Representative of the Republic of Abkhazia to the Federal Republic of Germany participated in the event.
