September 3 we mark 16 years since the recognition of the independence and state sovereignty of the Republic of Abkhazia by the Republic of Nicaragua.

The corresponding decree was signed on September 3, 2008 by José Daniel Ortega Saavedra, the President of the Republic of Nicaragua. Since the recognition and establishment of diplomatic relations between our states, there has been stable interaction.

On September 10, we will celebrate the 15-th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the Republic of Abkhazia and the Republic of Nicaragua.

The agenda of our interstate cooperation, based on a solid contractual and legal framework, is steadily expanding and is filled with new projects and areas of activity. There is a confident development of political dialogue.

The potential for expanding and deepening mutually beneficial cooperation between our states is significant. We are focused on further developing of the entire range of bilateral relations and intensifying of interstate interaction.
