Sergey Shamba, the Foreign Ministry of Abkhazia hosted a meeting between the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Abkhazia and Alexander Stetsyuk, the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic, Garry Kupalba, the Head of the Official Representation of the PMR in the Republic of Abkhazia and Irina Molchanovat, the Head of the Department for Support of the Work of Foreign Institutions and Finance of the PMR Foreign Ministry.

The meeting was also attended by Irakli Tuzhba, the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Abkhazia and Dzhemal Bganba, the Head of the Department of Strategic Cooperation of the MFA of Abkhazia.

Alexander Stetsyuk conveyed congratulations to Sergey Shamba on his appointment as the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Abkhazia on behalf of Vitaly Ignatiev, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic and wished him success in his work.

In turn, Sergey Shamba noted the importance of the traditionally friendly Abkhaz-Pridnestrovian relations and expressed confidence in the further development of bilateral cooperation.

During the conversation, some practical aspects of interstate cooperation were touched upon, as well as readiness to continue joint work in order to continuously improve the level of relations between the Republic of Abkhazia and the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic.
