Comment by the information project coordinator of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Abkhazia Milana Khashba:
“Theses about isolation and de-isolation in our public discourse are noteworthy.
The daily work of the Abkhaz Foreign Ministry is to resist attempts by the US, EU, and Georgia to block our initiatives, limit our dialogue with partners, and intimidate them.
How much effort has the collective West spent in unsuccessful attempts to prevent the dialogue between Abkhazia and Belarus? Today the task is to try to prevent the development of dialogue with the UAE and other countries.
Recently, the Georgian Foreign Ministry caused a scandal because of our Minister’s contacts with the UAE Ambassador to the Russian Federation and the Russian Ambassador to the UAE. These scandals are created with the support of American and European diplomats and, of course, international NGOs.
All those from whom Abkhaz NGOs receive funding. Receiving money from those who isolate us, representatives of NGOs tell us about de-isolation.
Representatives of Abkhaz NGOs tell us about de-isolation from the pages of the Internet resource Jam-news.net, which is funded by the US Embassy in Tbilisi. The resource “Echo of the Caucasus,” which is popular among Abkhaz NGOs, was created by the US State Department.
As a rule, these publications contain very biased and pretentious value judgments.
We will continue to tell the truth, whether individuals like it or not. We will continue to resist illegitimate attempts to prevent the Republic of Abkhazia from taking its rightful place in the system of international relations."
Below are the partners of the information project “Jam-news”, on the platform of which individual representatives of Abkhaz NGOs are published.
