On January 17, Inal Ardzinba, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Abkhazia and Bagrat Khutab, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Abkhazia to the Syrian Arab Republic met at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Abkhazia.

The Ambassador reported about the current activities of the Embassy in Syria, in particular he stressed on the necessity of quick establishment of the Consular Department there.

During the meeting, Bagrat Khutaba also spoke about the implementation of the agreements reached within the framework of the Syrian-Abkhazian Joint Committee on Economic, Commercial, Scientific, Technical and Cultural Cooperation, and informed the Minister about the initiatives of mutual interest of the two countries.
