On August 6, 2026, Oleg Bartsits, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Abkhazia held a working meeting with Adik Arshba, Honorary Consul of the Republic of Abkhazia in Rostov-on-Don.

Dzhemal Bganba, Head of the Department of Strategic Cooperation also participated in the meeting.

During the meeting, Adik Arshba reported on the participation of representatives of the consular corps and
heads of diplomatic missions accredited in the Rostov Region in off-site events. One such event was a visit to
leading enterprises in the Azovsky and Bagayevsky districts.

In the Novoaleksandrovskaya industrial zone of the Azovsky District, the participants learned about the work
of the «ACBA» plant, Russia's largest flaxseed oil producer.

Adik Arshba noted that such off-site events are held with the participation of Alexey Gospodarev, the First Deputy Governor of the Rostov Region, who oversees the diplomatic corps, and Pavel Pavlov, Minister of Economic Development of the region.
The event was attended by the acting Governor of the Rostov Region. Elena Staforova, Representative of the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Rostov-on-Don; Levon Minasyan, Consul General of the Republic of Armenia in Rostov-on-Don; and Dmitry Shkurd, Acting Head of the Consulate General of the Republic of Belarus in Rostov-on-Don.

Adik Arshba also informed the Minister about the consular visit to Irakli Bzhinava, a citizen of the Republic of Abkhazia who was detained and held in custody in the Russian Federation.
He spoke in detail about his meeting with Mr. Bzhinava and the conditions of his detention.
Adik Arshba once again confirmed the Republic of Abkhazia's readiness to provide legal and consular
assistance to Irakli Bzhinava.
