The meeting between Daur Kove, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Abkhazia with Nicolas Dupont-Enjanom, the Deputy of the National Assembly of France, leader of the party "Get up, France" hosted in the building of the National Assembly of France, Paris on 17 October, 2017.
During the meeting Daur Kove spoke on the political, social, economic and humanitarian situation in Abkhazia and on the current events in the region. Daur Kove stressed that the Abkhaz side is interested in the possibility for the European public to receive objective information about the Republic of Abkhazia.
Unfortunately, little is known in France about the rich historical past, about the centuries-old traditions of statehood, about the culture and identity of the Abkhaz people. Daur Kove noted that the Abkhaz side intends to strengthen information, cultural and educational activities in France and other European countries in order to overcome the existing information vacuum.
In turn, Nicolas Dupont-Ayan, the Deputy of the National Assembly of France, the leader of the party "Get up, France" wished to the nation of Abkhazia peaceful and prosperous development and also confirmed the need to overcome the information, cultural and humanitarian isolation of Abkhazia.
