Among the honored guests at the Abkhaz pavilion was Hussein al-Shara'a, father of the President of the Syrian Arab Republic, Ahmed al-Sha'ar.

During the meeting, Hussein al-Shara'a warmly welcomed the representatives of the Abkhaz delegation, noted their previous meetings, and wished peace and prosperity to the people of Abkhazia.

The head of the Abkhaz delegation, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Abkhazia Oleg Bartsits, presented Hussein al-Shara'a with a commemorative gift.
